You’re no doubt completely and fully aware that Anthony Vaccarello likes himself some Juergen Teller as Saint Laurent campaign photographer. Vaccarello has called upon the famed German photographer to lens the historic French fashion house’s campaign imagery on umpteen occasions throughout his tenure as creative director. More recently, Teller photographed Chloë Sevigny for the Fall 2024 campaign offering. For the Saint Laurent Winter 2024 installment, Juergen Teller is back to capture a handful of Vaccarello’s muses. Those muses include Kate Moss, Charlotte Rampling, Ajus Samuel, Anja Rubik, Binx Walton, Awar Odhiang, and Penelope Ternes. The ladies pose within the surroundings of a stylish Art Deco Parisian brasserie in looks from Vaccarello’s chic Saint Laurent collection unveiled in February during Paris Fashion Week.

The powers that be at Chanel HQ endorse Loli Bahia as the face of the Coco Neige collection for 2024. The Coco Neige line was first introduced in 2018 by the late Karl Lagerfeld, dedicated to winter sports, the snow, and après-ski. Faces of the Coco Neige collection have since included Margot Robbie, Jennie (of Blackpink), and Lily-Rose Depp. Bahia, who already has umpteen Chanel advertising campaigns under her belt, poses for famed German photographer Juergen Teller. The French beauty of Algerian descent who has previously fronted the Pre-Fall 2022, Cruise 2023, Fall 2023, and Pre-Fall 2024 campaign installments, poses within the surroundings of Gabrielle Chanel’s decadent apartment at 31, Rue Cambon in Paris.

Throughout 2024, the title’s Head of Editorial Content Kerstin Weng has welcomed the likes of Peggy Gou, Claudia Schiffer, Adut Akech, Kate Moss, Hunter Schafer, and made history by welcoming 102-year-old Holocaust survivor Margot Friedländer onto the cover. Weng adds Sandra Hüller as Vogue Germany cover star to mark the magazine’s 45th anniversary for October 2024. Famed German photographer Juergen Teller was called upon to photograph the German actress, who gazes down Teller’s lens sat perched on some steps. FKA Twigs, Dakota Fanning, Cindy Sherman, Lila Moss, Lil Uzi Vert and Bladee assemble in front of the Marc Jacobs offices in New York, each toting a selection of the American designer’s signature handbags (including the The Sack Bag, The Tote Bag and The Snapshot) – complete with even Jacobs and Teller making appearances themselves.

The year 2023 gave us the relaunch of Harper’s Bazaar France and since March, we’ve been dazzled by covers starring the likes of Rianne van Rompaey, Imaan Hammam, Catherine Deneuve and Amelia Gray to name a select few. Editor Olivier Lalanne bestows upon us a duo of special covers lensed by photographer Juergen Teller to close out the year and usher us into 2024. On cover one, Lalanne welcomes back French model Loli Bahia as cover girl, complete with the current face of Chanel wearing a navy blue tank dress from Saint Laurent. French-British actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg poses on cover two, captured within the walls of her father’s (singer Serge Gainsbourg) former Paris home on rue de Verneuil for an issue dedicated to the spirit and charm of the French capital.

As one would expect when multi-covers are thrown our way, only one was guaranteed to standout. “Love Loli’s cover. Charlotte’s cover is a letdown,” shared forum member mikel.

“Loli’s cover is nice, I love the colors. Charlotte’s cover is a miss unfortunately,” Urban Stylin echoed.

“I actually love Loli Bahia’s cover. Juergen is at his best when the subject/model/clothes are more glamorous, hence why I always love his Saint Laurent campaigns,” admired Overindulgence.

“I don’t know who thought Juergen’s work is cover material. Loli’s cover is alright and Charlotte’s reminds me of the covers we would get during the pandemic via FaceTime,” described an underwhelmed fenty.

Vogue28 wasn’t feeling it either, expressing: “Much prefer Loli Bahia’s cover over Charlotte Gainsbourg’s, which I believe should never have seen the light of day. Two majorly underwhelming covers to close out 2023, if you ask me. A real shame too, because Harper’s Bazaar France has been great to us throughout 2023.”
